I’m trying out the Blogger app on my phone, which means that I can blog from the luxury of my bed. The tradeoff being that one or two typos are just bound to slip through the net. Apologies in advance.
Life is chugging along nicely at the moment. Things seem to be going quite well in the new job, in that I have yet to set fire to anything important. Early days yet…
Today’s highlight was the Johnson Arms Christmas Pub Quiz, hosted as always by the lovely Zoe. I managed to win us chocolate by vaguely recollecting that Nick Frost is a West Ham fan. Trivia abs minutea win out over useful knowledge once again! We were rubbish at the rest of the quiz, though. Ho hum.
As I lie in bed listening to the pitter patter of raindrops bouncing off of… something or other, I don’t know what, I’m driven to reflect on how lucky I am. Depression aside (and that’s been behaving itself lately) I have my health. I have my family. I have my friends. I have the love and support of my Tonks. I have a job that I’m not completely rubbish at for now. And I have the audiobooks of The Hunger Games to keep my brain active on the way to/from work. What more could I want?
A million pounds, a trip to the Bahamas and a pony, that’s what. Gimme.
